The Big Day is fast approaching and your bridal beauty prep is beginning to get a tad overwhelming: facials, manicures, waxing, workouts, teeth whitening...oh my! So what’s a bride to do if she’s short on time or cash but still wants to look her glowing best, come wedding day? Well, you can start by raiding your pantry: here are five easy and all-natural facial masks to whip up right in your very own kitchen.

Egg White, Oatmeal, and Honey Mask

Best for: Oily skin
All brides want to glow – with happiness, and not because of their oily skin! Ground oats in this mask absorb oil and exfoliate clogged pores while egg white tightens and tones the skin. And honey? That’s just a bonus, thanks to its antibacterial properties.

Instructions:
Whip together the whites of 1 egg with 1 teaspoon of honey until well combined and a little frothy. Add ground oats to form a paste. Apply onto your face (avoid the eyes) and massage paste gently into skin. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

Aloe Vera, Avocado and Honey Mask

Best for: Dry, chapped skin
Perfect for skin that’s drier than the Sahara desert, this mask is contains aloe vera, avocado, and honey – all super hydrating ingredients. It also works great for soothing sunburned skin because aloe vera contains natural healing agents. Best of all? Avocado and honey are packed with antioxidants, making this one of the best DIY face masks for dry skin.

Instructions:
Mash 1/2 ripe avocado and mix with 2 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera (or aloe vera gel) and 1 tablespoon of raw honey. Apply the mask onto your freshly washed skin. After 15 minutes, rinse off with lukewarm water and a washcloth.

Honey and Cinnamon Mask

Best for: Acne prone skin
No bride wants to be troubled by pesky zits on her special day. So to prevent unwanted breakouts, a honey and cinnamon mask is in order. Honey contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that also soothe redness and irritation, while cinnamon brings oxygen and blood to the skin’s surface to help dry out the skin and heal the acne problem area.

Instructions:
Mix together 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 2 teaspoons of honey to form a paste. Apply onto face and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Do not use this mask more than twice weekly as cinnamon can irritate the skin. You can also use this as a spot treatment on zits.

Papaya and Honey Brightening Mask

Best for: Dull and tired skin
Forget about pricey skin whitening creams; all you need for a radiant complexion can be found right in your refrigerator. Packed with antioxidants and Vitamins A, C, and E, papayas are great for lightening and exfoliating the skin, fading dark spots, and enhancing collagen production.

Instructions:
Blend together half cup of mashed ripe papaya and 2 tablespoons of honey. Apply onto your face. After 15 to 20 minute, rinse off with lukewarm water and moisturize.

Sandalwood powder

Yoghurt and Sandalwood Face Mask

Best for: Aging skin
Turn back the clock with this easy-peasy DIY face mask. The lactic acid in yoghurt is a gentle exfoliator that not only diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles, but also moisturises the skin. Sandalwood not only smells lovely, it also has a natural toning effect that shrinks pores and prevents sagging skin.

Instructions:
Mix 1 tablespoon organic yogurt with 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder and 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Apply the mask onto your face and leave it on until it dries. Rinse off with warm water.
