We clearly had fun with this one! A retro-inspired wedding shoot with the freshness of today. Never be afraid to marry the old with the new, and up-cycle to give something old a whole lot of new.
The mod concept began with the talented up-cycle specialist, Loved by Arlo. Amber, together with the LENZO team, created a soft pastel palette moodboard to inspire all traders involved. The inspirational focal point: a ping pong ball. And who's ever seen them looking so fab? Hand-painted by Loved by Arlo to create a handmade garland and a show-stopper polish chandelier – and if you love this as much as we do, Loved by Arlo is now taking orders for custom designs!
The shoot was held at Melbourne’s historic North Fitzroy Bowls Club – the short green surface perfectly complimented the ‘mod’ theme.
Perfect doesn’t even cut it when it comes to the stationery, created by Nathalie of Imprintables. Fonts of today married with patterns of yesterday – Nathalie nailed the colour palette and the theme.
Stef of Stefani Driscoll Photography captured each and every moment, from the bombshell blooms by Geelong’s talented She’s a Wildflower to the beautifully dressed bar cart (or cake cart, in this instance) available from Dann Event Hire. The bespoke pastel garlands were created by Imprintables. Sweet Bakes creatively cut rice paper by hand to create a '60s-inspired pattern on a tier of her delicate mint cake (she is incredible).
And if it were our last supper, we would choose to dine on a table like this! A hand-painted vintage table tennis surface (again, up-cycled by Love by Arlo) featuring divine Mud crockery available at Red Hill House, matte gold cutlery and geometric chairs from Dann Event Hire, and a watercolour favour which doubles as a place card by Sweet Bakes.
The ceremony decor was a spectacular mix of bursting blooms and that show-stopping chandelier, which featured handmade pastel concrete vases by Vessel and Vine and layered tables available through Beautiful Room in Surrey Hills.
Our model Steph appropriately wore something old and something new – a stunning hand-beaded jumpsuit from One Day Bridal and a genuine '60s number from Era Vintage Bridal. The look was completed with accessories from Bell Frankie + Co and Samantha Wills. Hannah Mapletoft created a Twiggy-inspired look with hair and make-up.
